    Differences:American culture emphasizes freedom,but Germans tend to be more traditional and serious.

    Similarities:They both attach importance to human rights and pursue individualism.

    Firstly,individualism. Both Americans and Germans emphasize the individualism. but Amercans value individuals more than Germans. 

    Secondly,High masculinity. Both them play greater importance on masculinity. but Germany's score is 6%higher than the America. 

    Thirdly,uncertainty avoidance index. Germans feel threatened by ambiguous situation and have? created institutions to avoid such risks. But Amercans are much more comfortable with risks associated with change.
