Japanese writing came into being after Chinese characters were introduced into Japan. From the initial lack of characters to the creation of its own unique kana characters and "mixed with Chinese" writing system, this process is the comprehensive learning and introduction of Chinese characters, and according to the original language of Japan to it dripping and re-creation process.

Japanese culture absorbed many elements from Chinese culture. Such as the tea culture, the origin of the Japanese characters, the indirectness, the politeness, Chinese characters and religion. And the values for family in the Japanese's core values are also similar with the Chinese's ones.

Obviously, Japan has absorbed Chinese character into its own language system. Japan has also learnt a lot from Chinese traditional buildings, music, foods and even religions. It shares some key values with China.

The shadow of China can be seen everywhere in the Japanese cultural pedigree. Japanese, medicine, tea ceremony, diet, bows, costumes, etiquette and the "kusheng culture", which has a profound impact on Japan, are all influenced by China.
