    In American food, meat and vegetables are cooked separately.  Usually they would fried the meat and make a salad with vegetables.  But in China, meat and vegetables are steamed, stewed or boiled together.  In the process of eating, most Americans choose coffee or coke, but Chinese people usually drink tea or soup.

    1. Different tools

    One of the characteristics of the Chinese dietary customs is the use of chopsticks. In ancient times, the chopsticks were called zhu. They had a long history in China. Chopsticks are generally made of bamboo, a pair of hands, and can be used easily.

    Americans use both knives and forks when they eat. If they use both hands, they should hold the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand. And they should not hold the knife for too long at one time.

    2. The staple food is different

    The traditional Chinese dietary custom is based on plant food, the staple food is five grains, auxiliary food is vegetables.

    In the United States, steak, pork chops and chicken (leg) are the staple foods.
