I think the group of class 2 is better.
Their conflict of homosexuality is universal,is a meaningful topic. And their spoken language is fluent.
What do you think of the performance of the volunteer group? Which team/member was the most impressive? What was your idea about the topic/theme of their performance?
I think the group two in class is interesting.Their language is fluently and conservation is naturally.Their performance express the children's sexual orientation. At first their parents don't agree them. But through children communication, their parents think their happiness is important and express family love.
In the second video, the main characters presented the conflict between parents and children regarding sexual orientation within the family. Eventually, the conflict was softened under the power of love. The acting was very natural, the camera transitions were smooth, and the main characters did not break character, demonstrating high professional standards. Their English was fluent and the lines were profound. It is an outstanding work.
I think the two group's performance both are pretty impressive.Maybe I prefer the group which discusses the view of love.Because they make their own reflections on this social phenomenon, and their video is exquisitely produced and the lines are rich in meaning.
The biggest feature of Chen Minjie's group is their eye-catching bgm. Each of them is very natural, with appropriate body language, and accurately interprets the personality characteristics of each character.
I think they all performed very well. The first group impressed me because the topics they interpreted were very relevant to our daily life and showed the differences between parents and children about fashion dress
I think the selected text is very close to real life. Nowadays, children tend to prefer pop music and engage in role-playing, which might be things that parents don't understand. This is a generation gap. However, communicating and discussing with parents is a good approach. The video presents real scenes, making the performance more vivid and interesting. The language, tone, etc. are in line with the characters, and subtitles and background music are added to enhance the fun factor.
I think the boys' group is better. They were more well-prepared, for instance, with wigs. Their expressions were also particularly spot-on and very amusing. The main idea they conveyed was also better.
I think both groups did an excellent job finishing this task in such a short time. What impressed me most was the latter group—their content was very innovative and they integrated their own opinions. From my perspective, love is inherently scarce, regardless of gender. Their scene design, acting language were all appropriate and natural. Their expression was fluent and in line with the theme of the article.
I think Class 2's group did better because:Their topic about homosexuality is something everyone can relate to - it's important and meaningful. They spoke really smoothly and naturally, like they weren't just reading from notes.
1.The content is innovative and closely connected to modern life, focusing on the concept generation gap between young people and the older generation in the new era. It also shows that as long as we are willing to be inclusive and put ourselves in each other's shoes, the generation gap will not distance the two generations.
2.Every performer was fully engaged—you could tell how dedicated they were from the props laid out on the table and their expressive body language.
3.Every speaker enunciated clearly—their words were easy to follow with no accents whatsoever. What’s more, all of them delivered their lines fluently from memory, without a single hesitation or pause.
Content: Chen Minjie’s family conflict stems from the kids’ enthusiasm for trends, pop music, and role-playing—interests their parents initially failed to grasp. Eventually, open talks between the two generations smoothed over their differences.
Acting skills: Staged around a dining table, the scene mirrored authentic everyday conversation settings.
Language : The lines were lively , delivered in fluent, natural English.
The in-class group performances were pretty engaging and super relevant to modern life. The first group's background music was way too loud. The second group's performance was quite polished overall, but a bit messy, and their pronunciation could've been clearer.
Content :This class group activity centers on conflicts over leisure styles and hobbies. The father disapproves of the child’s hobbies, such as short-video scrolling, celebrity fandom and cosplay, and expects the child to spend more time doing sports and reading, which leads to conflicts. Eventually, with the child’s explanation and the mother’s mediation, the father begins to accept these leisure activities, and the child also understands the father better. The generation gap between them is finally bridged.
Performance Skills:The students interacted through eye contact and body movements, and used various background music to control the rhythm of their lines and enhance emotions, bringing the audience a smooth and natural viewing experience.
Language :The students performed completely without scripts. Their lines were clearly pronounced and coherently connected, with no pauses or forgotten lines, creating a very harmonious effect.
The volunteer groups performed very well overall.
The most impressive team was the boy's group. Their performance was memorable because they portrayed their characters with strong conviction and clarity, making the central conflict very relatable.
The theme of their performance was the generational clash over life aspirations. It effectively highlighted the common conflict where younger people seek financial independence or entrepreneurial paths, while older generations emphasize traditional stability through secure jobs and marriage. This topic resonates deeply as it reflects a real and evolving social dynamic.
The volunteer groups delivered strong performances overall, with each team successfully completing their task.
While multiple groups performed well, the boy's group remained particularly impressive for their clear portrayal of the central conflict. Their effective use of dialogue and physical acting made the scenario feel authentic and engaging.
The core theme of their performance—the generational gap in values regarding career and life goals—was very well chosen. It dramatized the classic tension between youthful ambition (seeking financial success/independence) and parental expectations (prioritizing stable employment and traditional milestones like marriage). This theme is highly relevant and sparked important reflection on modern family dynamics.
I think their performance is warm and meaningful. They put a lot of heart into it, and every detail shows their care for the topic.
Everyone impressive. Because they were natural and made the audience feel connected easily.
The theme is clear and meaningful. It’s not just a show but a way to let us understand our parents.
1,I thought the performance by the volunteer group was very meaningful and well-prepared. Each team showed good creativity and effort.
2,The most impressive part was how one team (or member) acted out the daily life of a farmer in a simple but powerful way — it felt very real and helped everyone understand their hard work.
3.About the theme, I think their performance focused on the value of farming and the connection between people and the land. It reminded us that despite technology and changes in the countryside, the farmer’s role remains very important. Their story also showed respect for nature and tradition, which left me with a warm and thoughtful feeling.
The performances of both groups were excellent. The last group left a deeper impression on me. Their role allocation was reasonable, their language was fluent, and their performance was vivid. It allowed me to experience the generation gap between parents and children.
Their performance was heartfelt and cohesive. The lead singer stood out most with a soulful voice. The folk theme beautifully echoed Ireland’s bardic heritage
