Body language is an important part of expression. Not only Italians, many people add body movements when they are speaking, which can make them express themselves better, and some studies have shown that such people are more leadership. They are usually more open and enthusiastic. So I think it depends on people's different personalities.

In the eyes of most people, Italy is a country full of enthusiasm. It is sunny all the year round, and the people are very romantic, enthusiastic and expressive...

One of the most striking manifestations is... When people talk here, they are very fond of gesticulating...

Some people say that if you tie the hands of all the italians, they will not speak. Others say that if you can't speak a word of Italian, you can get around Italy by learning these basic Italian gestures...

in my opinion,no matter how noisy the surrounding is, the gestures will not be affected.Instead of yelling, sometimes it's easier to get the message by doing a simple gesture.

An interesting thing about Italian speech is that you can't speak without making gestures. Not only in face to face communication, the hands constantly gesture, even if the phone or smoking a cigarette occupied one hand, the other hand must be dancing up and down in the air, even emotional times also need the trunk and thigh movement to be coordinated. A foreigner who learns Italian but can't understand Italian gestures will always have a "limp" feeling when communicating.
