From the perspective of intercultural appropriation(跨文化借用), in your opinion, which part or parts of Japanese culture absorbed some elements from Chinese culture?
In my opinion,Japanese culture has many similar elements with Chinese culture. Such as tea culture, the origin of the Japanese characters, the indirectness and the politeness.
There are many similarities between Chinese culture and Japanese culture because it's universally acknowledged that ancient Japan used to attach great significance to learning from China especially in the tang dynasty.Such as tea culture, the Confucianism,Chinese characters, food and some of the core values.
I think a lot of Japanese culture borrows from Chinese culture.
Let me give you a couple of examples.
1. Tea culture.
It is true that the Japanese tea ceremony developed on the basis of the traditional tea culture to some extent and carried forward its system, but there is no denying that the Japanese tea ceremony was originally developed on the basis of the Chinese tea culture in terms of its origin.
2. Architectural culture.
During the tang and song dynasties, Japan sent envoys to China to study, and jianzhen brought a lot of architectural materials to Japan.
On this basis, Japan's mountain city temples and other buildings are very Chinese style.
3. The religion.
In the ideological and cultural value system of China, Japan and South Korea, Confucian culture has its shadow.
I suppose that it's the geisha culture and the anime culture which it spawned, mainly the Japanese way of entertainment that has had a huge impact on our values.
1.words and literature:
Japan learns not only the characters, but also the Chinese official system, the Chinese electoral system and so on.
2.Buddhism:
Chinese Buddhism, especially the eastern transmission of zen, directly influenced the Buddhism in Japan.
3.costume:
Kimono, for example, is Japan borrowed from China.
4.food.
5.tea culture:
Japan is good at learning from and applying the theories of Chinese tea culture into its own culture, which has been improved and developed into a tea ceremony culture with Japanese characteristics.
6.Religion(Confucianism):
The influence of Confucian culture on Japan is very profound.
7.architecture:
Japanese architecture was heavily influenced by Chinese architecture, but it gradually developed its own unique style.
I think Janpaese culture have many similar part with Chinese culture.Such as the tea culture, ikebana, language, chopsticks. And the most culture was introduced in the tang dynasty.
In my opinion ,I think in Japan ,all the peolpe think it is best to think of others ,and do anything all in the group .In the traditional culture ,many anceints alse recond these behaviour as good manners.
