In your opinion, what similarities do Chinese culture and Korean culture share?

    1.Both Chinese and Korea traditional culture are infected by the Confucian culture.

    2.In both Chinese and Korea family,the status of parents and the elder are higher than Western countries.

    3.Chinese and Korea traditional clothes are similar,since they are all evoved from Hanfu.

    1.Deeply rooted in the concept of family and state, family occupies a dominant position in the traditional ethical culture of China and South Korea.

     

    2.The values of Chinese and Korean societies are relatively individualistic values within the framework of collectivism. Such conservative values are mainly reflected in the fact that people in China and South Korea value more the collective interests, including national interests and family interests

    Korea, like any other east Asian countries, has been enormously influenced by Chinese culture in ancient time. the are oceans of Chinese elements among its cultural characters, such as Confucianism and Buddhism. Its traditional customes and foods also share many things in common with China.

    Korean cuisine is partly influenced by China. Korean cuisine is greatly influenced by China in terms of raw materials, ingredients and tableware. The architectural art created by the Korean people has always had the same aesthetic concepts, themes, techniques and forms as the art of neighboring China and Japan. In terms of festivals, influenced by Chinese culture, Chinese traditional festivals, such as Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid Autumn Festival, have also spread to the Korean peninsula with the spread of Chinese culture.

    Chinese culture and Korean culture have something in common.Such as we have similar words,Confucianism,tea culture. Second, we both have the Mid Autumn Festival.And in both country people use the chopsticks and spoons to have meal. And lastly, wehave similar food culture.For example, they both use chopsticks and eat rice.

    1.In music:I think in Korea,some musical instruments like Gu Zheng and Gu Qing are similiar to China,which expressed that in the past,they had learned each other.

    2.In etiquette:Similiar to us,Koreans have many etiquettes and although they always bow to others to express respect,we all attach great importance to the etiquettes and are all respectful.

    3.In education:As two eastern countries,we all apply the means which only just face the examination.Instead,we don't pay attention to the practice.

    4.In families' values:The word"family" has an important position in Korea and China and they all learn Confucianism and take it into practice,so they have similiar living methods and cultural religions.

    5.People's values:I think under the influence of Confucianism,Koreans and Chinese are all conservative.Meanwhile,they care more about the collectivism instead of individualism like eastern countries.
