I have known TOFEL since I was in junior high. However, I just knew a little about it, what I had known was that my sister and my brother passed the test and went to America and Australia for further study. Now I understand how important English is and studying adroad is a great way to learn something. Now I am still impressed with some college headmasters who gave me guidances in video.

In China,TOEFL is always a heated topic. When I was in my childhood,what I heard most about it was that it was a ticket to America.Humorous Chinese creat its Chinese translation "tuo fu",meaning that the test is so difficult that people must rely on luck to pass it. Through Week 1 Learning,I have a general understanding of it. What upsets me is still the spoken part,for it's hard for me to imitate the accents of English natives. Hopefully,this course will do me a favour.

In the past, my understanding of TOEFL was that it was used to study abroad. I didn't have much interest in this course. After reading the contents of the first week, I found that TOEFL can also play an important role in our employment, English communication and other aspects. In this week's study, I learned the details of each section , which all impressed me deeply. I think these are very helpful for me.

I first heard about tofel when I was a junior student. I don't care about it very much because I don't plan to take it or learn it cause I thought it was far away from me. But now I realize that it is pretty useful for my english learning. During the course, I can experience the way of education of western schools and enlarge my knowledge. What impressed me is the writing part. I used to focus on the speaking and listening parts very much because I thought during my daliy life, speaking and listening are two most important skills. But with the progress of learning English, I came to realize that writing has been ignored by me for a long time. Thus, I hope I will learn more writing skills from this course and I believe it will be helpful.

In the past,i hold the view that TOFEL test is just a test provided for the students who have the plan to study abroad.Therefore,i never have the intention to have a knowledge of the intents of TOFEL test because I never intend to study abroad.However,when I learned the course of the fiest week,I think that TOFEL is a high-quality test which can improve our english caplbility to a great extent,I think I am willing to known more about the TOFEL test in the following time.

Before learning in University, to tell you the truth, I just remembered that TOFEL test is needed for students who want to study abroad. But today I know more about it, such as its influence, its process and so on. I like the part called A Look Inside the TOFEL Test best, giving me a detailed instruction of the TOFEL test. To be honest, I used to know little about TOEFL Test. Before studying this course, I only knew that TOEFL test is essential for people who go abroad. However, I have roughly understood the main contents of TOEFL test though this week's study. In fact, it's Faye's spoken English that amazes me most. How smooth and pleasant it is! As I never have a plan to make a further study in a foreign country, I did not pay my attention to the TOEFL test.But since I start this lesson, I totally change my mind. It occurs to me that this lesson is a good platform to improve my English. After learing, I know that TOEFL test is divided into four parts:reading, speaking, writing and listening. Among all the parts, speaking impresses me most. My oral English is not good. I can learn the skills from teachers whose first language is English to practice my speaking. To me, TOFEL is a wide-admitted test on English skills which provides students opportunities to study or working abroad. What impressed me most in the insiders’ guide is that over 130 countries accept the TOFEL scores as a proof of one’s English standard. It do inspire me to learn this course.

Honestly, I have little understandning of TOEFL test. I just heard it from my junior school classmate, because he prepared for the IELTS and SAT for a long time. Finally, he went to the Australia and study in The University of Melbourne. So in my opinion, TOEFL test is for those who want to go abroad, at the same time, it's challeging to get high grades, for this reason, I may have a try if I have free time. And what impressed me most is the part How The TOEFL Test Is Made. It amazed me that the test is nearly four hours in length. I believe this is a great challenge for the examinee's physical strength and energy concentration.

I don't know much about TOEFL test, I just know it is a widely recognized academic English test in the world, focusing on the comprehensive use of English listening, speaking, reading and writing ability for effective communication. Among the four parts of it, what impressed me most was its speaking part, my oral ability was very weak and my pronunciation was inaccurate.
