A big difference in table manners between China and the UK/US is the way of eating. In China, people often share dishes on the table and use chopsticks to pick food from the shared plates. It's also common to have small talk during meals.

In the UK/US, people usually have their own plates. They use forks and knives to eat. Moreover, they're more likely to keep quiet while eating and talk more after the meal.

    In China, it is common and polite to use chopsticks to pick up food for elders, guests or family members at the table to show care and hospitality. However, in the UK and the US, people never use their own fork or spoon to put food directly onto others' plates; everyone serves food from shared dishes using serving utensils, or simply eats from their own plate independently. Moreover, in China, people may hold bowls close to the mouth when eating rice or noodles, while in Western countries, lifting plates or bowls off the table and bringing them to the mouth is considered impolite and uncivilized
