how to pronounce those Geek and Hebrew names?

By Sibe_Lui 2020-02-14 300次浏览

What if I use the other pronunciation of the Greek names, like in Latin, will it confused the listeners?

Thank you~

    HI, Lui,

thank you for your question. Yes, it will confuse listeners if the pronunciation is hugely different from standardized pronunciation.

Certainly, as I don't know Latin, I am not sure how different Latin pronunciations are from English pronunciations. I think they must be very close. That is why a lot of English words actually come from Latin or Greek. For example, titanic, tantalize.

it is so nice for your feedback. some of their names in chinese translation are pretty similar to the latin pronunciation rules, so an idea came into my mind that it might be better to restore their original speaking. Yes, you are right, I think it would be better to keep the English way, although most of the pronunciation are alike. Thank you very much
