I think my childhood was full of fairy tales, cause my mother and I are both super fans of Disney Princess and Barbie. The characters in those stories inspired me to be a kind and powerful girl and made me believe that the real beauty of a girl is the inside of her. However, I can’t agree that “children are innocent, good, and pure”. For example my mother started to cook three meals for her whole family when she was only seven. Her experience made her a tough and mature little girl at that time. In that case, different background makes a child different. During our childhood, we cannot stay unchanged, we must grow.

Just as there is universal grammar in all languages and in all language users' minds, I believe there is a universal pattern in all children about the way they are going to live their lives. By that I mean that every child is an independent being, and that each has her/his own intrinsic talents that are to be discovered during a lifetime. And childhood is the first stage of te manifestation of their talents. And therefore it can be hard to generalize that children are all good, innocent, or pure.

I don't think childhood is innocent, but the thinking at that time seems childish now. But it was also a big decision who might play with. Therefore, every period has its own distress, and it is by no means easy and innocent.
